British Columbia’s Finance Minister claims to be open to the idea of investment, even with growing concerns over the province’s stand on the Kinder Morgan pipeline expansion project.
Premier John Horgan made his voice clear on Sunday with an anti pipeline sentiment from Victoria, and Carole James says the province is challenging the jurisdiction of the pipeline project to protects its citizens interests.
“Well certainly from my perspective were doing exactly what we need to do. The Premier has been very clear, were standing up for BC’s interests, we continue to be open to investment, and open for business in British Columbia but, it is our job to stand up for the interest of British Columbians”.
Pipeline builder Kinder Morgan suspended all non-essential spending yesterday, citing opposition efforts by the BC NDP.
Time will tell what the future holds on the pipeline expansion.
