The Chilling Adventures of my Life

Usually deemed an overall success, the show Riverdale has lately been getting some mixed reviews. A show that’s been on air for only a little over a year, it’s become the series that everyone hates to watch, myself included. Despite (maybe list some of the bad things, poor plot, bad acting etc. all this) I still find myself sitting down every week to watch yet another episode of the best garbage I’ve ever seen. I think the reason why i was originally so tied to Riverdale is because of how much I loved the comics as a kid. Of course, when they threw in the fact that it was filmed in Vancouver I was absolutely sold!

Before Riverdale’s 2nd season release there were a ton of rumors floating around regarding a very familiar character for hardcore Archie Comic fans, Sabrina the Teenage Witch! Many theorized that she would soon be featured on the show, others even went so far as to claim that she would have her own spin off series ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’. The latter was actually later proven to be true.I don’t know about you, but for me this was some major news! I’m all on board of course. I don’t know if this is the case for you, but for me Sabrina was my first introduction to witches and I totally fell in love with the idea of magic and witchcraft because of her. Like many other fans, I began to wonder how on Earth they were going to introduce Sabrina and how she would tie into the Riverdale plot. Of course fans did not disappoint and quickly came up with theories on her role.

Of course none of this has been confirmed but, what I do know is that she will be making her first appearance on Riverdale, many again speculating that it will be towards the end of season 2. The better news, is that much like Riverdale, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will also be filmed right here in Vancouver! The bad news? Well, production apparently won’t start until 2018. Which means the show probably won’t be for another couple years, cue hysterical sobbing! Until then, despite the less-than-compelling plot of Riverdale, I will continue to watch and wait for the debut of Sabrina!
