Peer Tutoring for this term starts up again on January 18th and we’re very short of CST tutors. The Learning Commons has been offered online (virtual classrooms within the Learning Hub) since shortly after we started learning and working from home in March.
Peer tutors are high-achieving, upper-level BCIT students. They help other students understand course concepts and develop learning skills in difficult academic subjects. Writing tutors work one-on-one with students to help them develop the capacity to plan, organize, write and revise various types of assignments and assist in areas such as correct and concise language and citations.
For those interested in becoming a tutor, more information can be found on the learning commons: https://www.bcit.ca/learning-commons/be-a-tutor/
