Southern BC Braces for Round 2 of floods

BC saw it’s first flood surge last week causing nearly two dozen states of emergency and forcing around 4,ooo people out of their homes.

Warm temperatures are expected to bring yet another flood surge to the Grand Forks area. This community has been one of the hardest hit areas, temperatures supposed to stay around 28 degrees and more than 2,700 people have been evacuated.

Royal Wedding Scandal: Why Meghan Markle’s father won’t be walking her down the aisle

Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas Markle will not be attending his daughter wedding.

This was revealed after controversy over her father’s staged photo fiasco, this included a series of pictures of Markle’s father prepping for the royal wedding.

A British newspaper revealed that her father had worked with a picture agency to take photos of him.

Thomas Markle says his decision to skip the wedding is so he doesn’t embarrass the royal family or his daughter.

Average House Prices in Canada decrease by 11%

The Canadian Real Estate Association, CREA, says the average price of a Canadian home has declined by more than 11% in the 12 months up to April.

CREA says that April is typically a booming month for home sales, instead listings have slowed down for the month of March  (4.8 percent lower).

The realtor group places some of the blame on “new stress test set” rules.
