Coquitlam RCMP partners with the community for annual toy drive

The Coquitlam RCMP is showing its support to the Tri City communities, and hopes community members will join in. The Coquitlam RCMP’s ninth annual “911 We Care” Toy Drive supports the SHARE Community and Family Services Society.

Jill Van Os, one of the 911 We Care coordinators, says that giving back is a great opportunity to teach children about generosity: “By donating to SHARE, we are helping those in our own community because all donations stay right here in the Tri Cities.”

For those interested in donating, unwrapped toys for children and teens can be dropped off at the Coquitlam RCMP Main Detachment (2986 Guildford Way, Coquitlam) or the Community Police Stations in Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam. Donations will be accepted from November 14th to December 7th.

Each year, SHARE supports hundreds of families by providing holiday season toys and food hampers. In 2016, more than 500 toys and over $400 worth of gift cards were delivered to SHARE.
