Diego Cardona is the youngest person on the ballot in the upcoming Vancouver By-election and the 21-year old says it is time Vancouver Council reflect the diversity of the city. The Vision Vancouver candidate fled his native Columbia for Canada as a young boy and ended up in the BC Foster Care system after losing both his parents . Cardona now devotes his time with many organizations around Vancouver, including the Kiwassa Neighborhood House, The Federation of BC Youth in Care Networks, the BC Poverty Association, and the Immigrant Services Society of BC , serving as an advocate for immigrants , foster care kids and the homeless . In this interview Cardona talks about what he will do if elected into Council and what he thinks needs to change in the city.
