For the Record: Emergency Preparedness with Jonathan Gormick

Jonathan Gormick urges Vancouverites to be prepared (Vancouver Fire and Rescue Service)

Are you prepared in case “the big one” hits Vancouver? Media liaison Jonathan Gormick of the Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services shares the grim reality of what could happen in a natural disaster. Gormick advises each family needs at least a 72 hour emergency supply of fresh water and enough food for all members of your family (including pets!).

Host Chanel Klein discusses with Gormick about what you should do in a worst case scenario. Gormick also chats about opportunities to learn about first aid and emergency response through the City of Vancouver. Check out their video below about how to prepare your emergency kit.
