The Analysis and Intelligence Research Centre Secure Computer Lab (AIRC Computer Lab) is an intelligence and analysis computer forensics laboratory within the Crime and Intelligence Analysis program. AIRC Computer Lab was developed in partnership with the law enforcement community and British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) Forensic Science and Technology program.
The objective of the AIRC Computer Lab objective is to promote interdisciplinary collaborative applied research in justice and public safety focusing on intelligence and analysis issues. Providing a “sandbox”, the lab is a collaborative environment focusing on increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of private and public sector agencies use of information and technology within the intelligence and analysis domain. Research is conducted by flexible and interdisciplinary teams made up of faculty, students, city, municipal, provincial and federal personnel utilizing primary and secondary data from various public and private justice and public safety agencies and corporations at the international, national, regional and local level.
