A schmoozing success!

The sixth annual Schmoozapalooza saw over 200 Marketing Management students, alumni, faculty, and industry professionals converge at the CBC Audience Lounge January 25. The much-anticipated annual event helps students connect secure internships, and allows industry professionals – often BCIT grads themselves – to meet the next generation of communications professionals. Together, they helped raise over $8,000 in support of the BCIT Marketing Communications Endowment in Honour of Carroll Nelson.

“The CBC venue was very intimate and provided for a true networking experience, which is the main focus of the night,” said Joe Freeburn, associate dean of Marketing Management. “You know it is a good event when people are still mingling and talking an hour after the event was scheduled to finish.”

Thanks are due to the many student volunteers, as well as Shelley Morgan of the Alumni Association who helped the event to be executed flawlessly.
