Centre for Workplace Education faculty honoured by Association for Co-operative Education

BCIT’s Centre for Workplace Education Co-op Coordinators recently received an Outstanding Contribution award from their provincial colleagues at the Association for Co-operative Education (ACE) conference in Victoria.

 

The nomination stated:

“In recognition of the ongoing commitment of the Co-operative Education faculty of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) for their commitment to ACE and Co-operative Education in British Columbia. The Co-op faculty at BCIT are represented in committees, active association involvement and have a long history contributing their time, knowledge and expertise to ACE, a benefit to our board and membership alike.

In support of ACE’s work Centre for Workplace Education faculty have been involved in the following areas:

- Earl Anderson ~ ACE Research Committee member
- Cynthia Maclean ~ Accountability Council for Co-operative Education (ACCE) Representative and Accreditation Committee member
- Judith Hall ~ ACE Board Director for College/Institutes and External Relations Committee Chair
- Nicholas Petryszak ~ ACE Professional Development  Committee Co-Chair and Communication Committee member.”

Stuart Billings, ACE President stated that, “Collectively, these members represent the spirit and commitment that defines excellence within ACE and continues to propel Co-operative Education to higher ground.”
