School of Health Sciences hosts Interprofessional Education Summit

On June 10, 2010, the School of Health Sciences hosted its first Interprofessional Education (IPE) Summit.

Developed in partnership with UBC’s College of Health Disciplines, the purpose of the summit was to facilitate the sharing of interprofessional knowledge and the development of future interprofessional activities and collaborations across both organizations.

“Hopefully we will be able to look back in a few years and see that this forum did help us more clearly identify directions for interprofessional education and take effective steps to move forward,” says Nuclear Medicine program head and event committee member Lorie Fisher.

“I’d like to offer big thanks to everyone who collaborated on this event: the UBC faculty members for contributing their expertise and the participants for sharing their insights as well as creative ideas,” she continued.
