Hahah it’s ok! It’s not like there’s a limit to how many questions you can ask me! :)

Often scenario questions in interviews involve asking you about a specific event. For example: name a difficult time in your life. You would have to give an example of when the difficult time was and describe the scenario. Then usually they would want to know how you resolved it. For these questions you need to paint a clear picture of what is happening. Set up the background and then go into the detail. Don’t forget about the ending. That is important too. How you achieved success/overcame an obstacle is the most important part of the story.

Hey Keira,
It’s not a matter of how long you spend preparing; it’s a matter on how you feel. Hours and hours of prep may just be a waste of time. It’s very subjective whether you feel ready or not. I guess I took about a few hours prepping for my interview. I started with thinking about what qualities would make a good sonographer. Then I thought of examples of how I have those qualities. Then I looked up some general questions involving patient care. After that, I practiced with a friend. It really helps to practice ahead of time in case they ask some of the same questions. Even if they don’t, some examples can be applied to many different questions.

Just another question about the interview when you say “Scenario” questions do you mean like they ask you questions what would you do and they give you a specific scenario and you have to give your opinion or where you have to provide the scenario yourself of what happened to you?

I was just wondering how long did it take you to prepare for the interview stage of your program? How long do you recommend a person should really study through their material?
