Josh Brolin is joining the cast of yet another Marvel movie. Deadpool 2 has just cast the actor to play opposite of Ryan Reynolds as the time traveling Cable.
The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Brolin would be joining production in Vancouver come June. Twentieth Century Fox, who owns the rights to the X-Men, have been searching for the part of Deadpool for sometime now. Actors like David Harbour from Stranger Things, and even Brad Pitt were being considered for the role. It seems like Brolin came out of no where to nab the role. It will be his second role as a Marvel character, his first being Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in both The Avengers, and Guardians of the Galaxy. He will portray the villain in the upcoming two part Avengers: Infinity War. Thanos will have a major role as the main baddie in 2018.
The character Cable comes from the future, and is the son of X-Men’s Scott Summers (Cyclopes). Fox has confirmed that both Cable and Deadpool will be seen in the future X-Force movie as well. Cable was an original member of the group in the original X-Force comics. Deadpool also at one point joins the group of mutants.
Josh Brolin is a perfect casting for the future movie. Deadpool 2 is aiming for a 2018 release.
