The famous coffee chain, Starbucks is yet again trying something new and out of the box. If you thought that the icy frappuccino’s they offer are good, well now they are serving ice cream. Coffee and ice cream separately are amazing, now imagine combining them together, Starbucks has. Starbucks will be testing serving ‘Affogato’, which is an Italian-style dessert. Affogato is known as a scoop of ice cream that is “drowned” in a shot of hot espresso. Sounds heavenly.
Here’s the full list of new affogato-inspired offerings at Starbucks locations:
- Classic Espresso Affogato: Two shots of espresso poured over vanilla ice cream.
- Starbucks Narino 70 Cold Brew Float: Cold brew poured over vanilla ice cream.
- Starbucks Narino 70 Cold Brew Malt: Cold brew blended with ice cream, malt and chocolate bitters.
The new addition is being test in 10 Reserve coffee bars in D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago, Maryland and Boston, and 100 Starbucks stores in the Orange County, California, area. Hopefully soon coming to Canada, because us Canadians are obsessed with our Starbucks as well. This will be ultimate reason to always chose Starbucks coffee, daily.
