about us

The BCIT Centre for Energy Systems Applications (CESA) was formed with a mandate to provide industry training, foster applied research activities related to educational programs, coordinate standards and best practice reviews, and conduct efficiencies and conservation assessments.

CESA’s interest and emerging areas of curriculum development and applied research is in energy systems that minimize impacts on the natural environment and consumption of non-renewable resources. Examples include wind, micro-hydro, PV, passive solar, biomass, geoexchange, waste-to-energy and alternative fuels such as hydrogen.
