The Digital Animation
program is an intensive one-year program that puts the
emphasis on the art and craft of character modeling,
environmental landscapes, and animation while focusing on
learning industry-standard software skills with high-end 3D
software tools and techniques.
The program focuses on creating and producing an animated
demo reel, with sound, for presentation to video gaming,
film, television, and other 3D-based industries.
3D animation
At the end of the intensive year students will be able to show
their animation reels. In the process they will:
Start from their original idea,
Construct a story using mythical structure,
Develop concept art,
Draw storyboards
Sculpt, Rig and Weight 3D models
Layout shots and scenes
Animate characters,
Render and composite high-quality videos
Work closely with instructors to produce best possible demo
reel!

Character modeling
Upon completing their modeling reels students show several
characters displaying diversity of skills. During the year they
will:
Begin with developing characters history,
Develop concepts,
Sketch designs,
Draw storyboards,
Sculpt, Rig and Weight characters,
Create texture maps,
Light characters,
Animate fundamental movements,
Always seek for instructors’ constructive criticism!

Environmental modeling
Students in this group create outdoors and indoors environments,
with a final goal to produce an environmental reel. Students
work hard to:
Establish time, place and a style
Develop concepts for at least two environments,
Draw storyboards,
Model environments,
Paint original texture maps,
Light environments,
Create visual effects,
Animate backdrop camera,
Spend time with instructors to present their ideas in the most
creative way!
