At BCIT, you will take part in real on-the-job learning through our extensive network of industry partners and alliances. This means that as soon as you complete your qualification you will be readily employable.

In an effort to make our students more aware of careers in the digital communications industry, our department  facilities experiences that enable students to interact with designers, project managers, marketers and business owners in their professional environments. Field trips are planned according to students' interests and research projects. Students conduct their own field trips, research, interviews, write summaries, and participate in industry related discussions with guest speakers.

BCIT has industry support.
Our programs are developed in coordination with industry professionals - many teach here. All course work has 'real world' applications and assists students in creating a comprehensive and attractive portfolio for self-promotion.

BCIT has state-of-the-art facilities.
The New Media Center of Excellence and the Gardner Court Print facility offer it's students seven high-powered computer labs (both Mac and PC) fully equipped with the latest hardware and software. Whether you want to edit video, create animations, design a web interface, print posters or create new business applications, the Digital Arts department has all your needs covered.

BCIT gives you 'real world' experience.
We have incorporated industry practicum courses into all our programs. This allows students to make real contacts in the industry as well as provide them with work experience upon graduation.
