Family members of Prapaharan Thambithurai
The Toronto man who pleaded guilty to funding a Sri Lanken terrorist group, the Tamil Tigers, has been sentenced. 46 year-old Prapaharan Thambithurai will have to spend 6 months in jail. He is the first person convicted under Canada’s post 9/11 law prohibiting the raising of funds for terrorist groups.
