$1000 Tuition Credit Contest Rules

  1. No purchase necessary. Anyone who enters the TUITION contest with all required information at the Big Info website between October 1, 2011 and November 2, 2011 will be automatically entered to win. OR Come in person to the Big Info event at the Burnaby Campus (3700 Willingdon Avenue, Burnaby, Building SE2) between 5pm and 8pm Nov. 2, 2011 to fill out an entry form.
  2. One (1) prize consisting of $1,000 BCIT tuition voucher for either a Full-time program –must be accepted to a program of their choice by September 2012 (exemption may apply due to wait-lists).
    OR must be registered in BCIT Part-time Studies courses by April 2012 for courses that finish by August 31, 2012.  The prize winners must meet all entrance requirements or course prerequisites and is not guaranteed acceptance into a program or registration in a course.  The September 2012 deadline date may be extended if the winner is accepted into a program with a long waitlist.
  3. A maximum total of 5 entries per person will be accepted. The chances of winning are dependant upon the total number of eligible entries received.
  4. Open to individuals who are B.C. residents and are eligible to attend, except current students and employees of BCIT. Contest entrants will be automatically signed up to receive a limited number of prospective student communications from BCIT following the event. Prospective students may unsubscribe from these communications at any time.
  5. A random selection will be made the following week from all eligible entries received and all decisions with respect to the selection process are final.
  6. One prize will be awarded. Before being declared as winner of any prize the selected entrant must correctly answer a time limited, skill-testing, mathematical question posed during a pre arranged telephone interview or by mail. The selected entrant will be contacted within three (3) weeks of the contest closing date.
  7. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant will be required to sign a copy of these rules and regulations as the declaration and release form:
    1. Confirming compliance with contest rules and acceptance of prizes as offered;
    2. Acknowledging the non responsibility of BCIT and the prize suppliers and their agents in respect to injuries, accident, loss or misfortune relating to the prize;
    3. Acknowledging BCIT and their agents’ right to publish and broadcast the winner’s picture, name, address, voices, and statements without further compensation other than the prize offered.
  8. All entries become the property of BCIT and none will be returned.
  9. Prizes must be accepted as offered and no substitutions are allowed. Prizes are not transferable and are not convertible to cash, In the event of the prize recipient’s withdrawal from a Full-time program or Part-time studies course no cash refund will be made. Tuition credit voucher cannot be used towards tuition already paid in the event that the student has pre-registered for a course/program and has paid a deposit/full tuition.
  10. BCIT reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any time for any reason whatsoever.
  11. If a selected entrant is unwilling or unable to comply with the contest rules, that entrant will be disqualified and another entry will be drawn from the remaining eligible entries received.
  12. By claiming any prize selected entrants waive the right to claim any costs of winning any prize including, but not limit to, and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to redeem any prize, and bear in full any liability which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize.
  13. The contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and tax regulations.
