Council of Advisors
The B.C. Assayers Council of Advisors Partnership has successfully completed its tenth year and is looking to further the great support it has received from its founding members and to expand membership to include companies supplying the assay industry. To-date there are over a dozen government, institutional and corporate members all of which have been generous with their donations of time and money.
The Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources ran the program from 1895 to 1998 and still offers great support as well as the final certification of the successful applicants. Since 1998, the Program has been jointly administered by a partnership comprised of the Ministry, the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and the assaying industry. Representatives of the partnership meet bi-annually as the Assayers Council of Advisors. The Council provides direction to the British Columbia Certified Assayers Program Board of Examiners, ensures that the Program is adequately funded, and seeks ways to promote public awareness in the Program.
An application to extend, or for new members to join the partnership is available for download in pdf format. Please do continue to support the partnership and help us to continue the success of the program. Advisor Council membership contributions are considered as Foundation donations.
